A great illustration of the end-to-end redesign of a major media site. Vision, personas, ideation, business and user goals are all covered in the presentation.

The title says it all. Plenty of reading matter and food for thought if the visualisation and communication of complex data is of interest -which of course, it should be!

Interesting (if a little complex) presentation of content in relation to a timeline. Exploring the view and zoom options is interesting, even though it is ultimately changing only the spatial relationship between items.

An old (eight years) article by Jakob Nielsen on navigation, that is still pertinent to challenges I’m facing (again). Most resonant (paraphrased) point for me: ‘Don’t show the user everything you have, show them what is relevant to their current goal.’

The stickler in me can’t help but applaud this – printable alert labels for too-commonly overlooked details in graphic design.
